# CarbonPod sketch media

## Selected hero

The founder selected and requested refinement of “The Earth Keeps a Memory”.
The completed source is
`output/sketch-animation/coherent/earth-memory-coherent.mp4`,
created in the “Explore art themes for CarbonPod” session on 14 October 2026.
It uses sequential pencil/charcoal drawings across sixteen seconds, with a
longer final hold. First and last drawings match exactly, and the stored-carbon
soil layer persists throughout. Residue gathers into charcoal; charcoal remains in soil beneath a redrawn
tree. The tree is symbolic, not evidence of an agronomic result. The complete
drawing is preserved on desktop and mobile rather than cropping away the soil.

The source storyboard is retained in the generated-image library:
`01a13bb7-c320-74a3-a8f4-58765e64e59a/exec-861a533b-f4f4-484b-a634-56516bc7a8bc.png`.
Individual source drawings and timing are under
`output/sketch-animation/concepts/03-memory-clean-loop-frames/`.

## Material study

The previously approved residue-to-carbon GIF is converted to a silent
four-second H.264 stream at 640×640. The hand-drawn material sequence is artistic
rather than a literal explanation of kiln operation. Its source storyboard is
`output/sketch-animation/sketch-storyboard.png`.

## Delivery

Hero exports: `public/films/carbonpod/memory-coherent/` (versioned to avoid stale segments). Material exports:
`public/films/carbonpod/material/`. Each contains study.mp4, master.m3u8,
stream.m3u8 and two-second local MPEG-TS segments with VOD end markers.
The hero is 1024×576, sixteen seconds; the material study is square, four seconds.
The hero also has a 540×960 mobile composition: the complete drawing sits in
the lower part of a matching paper field. It is not a clipped tree or soil view.
Both are silent H.264/yuv420p, decoded fully after export.
Posters are lightweight JPEGs in `public/images/concept/sketch/`.

HeroFilm is shared: native HLS where supported, dynamically loaded hls.js
elsewhere, MP4 after HLS failure, still poster after all playback fails. Videos
autoplay only while visible and the document is active. Reduced-motion
preferences render stills without video requests. Reserved media dimensions
prevent layout shifts.

The approved refinement removes visible labels and play/pause controls.
Reduced-motion support remains, but continuous autoplay without a pause control
is an accepted accessibility tradeoff and is not described as full compliance.

## Existing illustrations

The existing matching sketch studies—foothills, crop residue, transformation,
forest floor and charcoal texture—remain in use. Cards display clear artwork
above separate dark copy. Existing artwork is varied across Insights.
Older clips and GIFs are retained as historical source material; the site does
not request them. No generation credentials enter website code.

## Publication boundaries

Surrounding copy describes the model as in development, and scaling as planned.
These images do not document an installation or achieved removal. Do not attach
financials, unannounced projects, government relationships or achieved impact
to symbolic artwork. Review locally before publication; this task does not deploy.

Latest integrated export: coherent plant-and-root drawings, with proportional
root development and fading. Charcoal disperses into fine soil marks before
the sapling returns. Homepage headline: From residue to cleaner air.

Hero framing update: desktop artwork enlarged 25%; mobile artwork doubled
relative to the previous padded composition and centred vertically. Crops
retain the mature crown and roots. Exports use memory-coherent-centred URLs.
